Let’s clear up the confusion. Who can actually apply for CUET 2027?
Educational Qualification
- You must have passed or be appearing for the Class 12 (10+2) examination in 2027.
- Any board is accepted: CBSE, ICSE, State Boards, IB, NIOS — all are valid.
- Any stream is accepted: Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities, Vocational — everyone can apply.
Minimum Marks
- General Category: At least 45-50% aggregate in Class 12 (varies by university).
- SC/ST/OBC: At least 40-45% aggregate.
- Important: Some universities like DU may have specific requirements. For example, to study B.Sc. Chemistry at DU, you might need to have studied Chemistry in Class 12. Always check your target university’s specific eligibility before choosing subjects.
Age Limit
There is no age limit. Whether you’re 17 or 25, if you’ve passed or are appearing for Class 12, you can apply.
Number of Attempts
No limit. You can appear for CUET as many times as you want, as long as you meet the educational qualification.
Can Class 12 Students Apply?
Yes, absolutely. If you’re in Class 12 right now and will appear for your board exams in 2027, you can register for CUET 2027. You just need to pass Class 12 before the counselling stage.
